London, 23 November 2015 – Today, JDX Consulting has announced it has made it to number 17 on the Financial Times Best Places to Work 2015 list. The FT and Glassdoor’s inaugural Best Places to Work ranking lists the top-30 employers in finance and consulting in the UK.

Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor’s Chief Economist, said analysis of the recruitment site’s data shows that, over time, employee satisfaction boosts company value. “The results suggest a meaningful economic link between employee satisfaction and stock market performance. To be fair, being named on the Glassdoor (or any other) “best-of” list is no guarantee of future stock performance. But the research shows that companies recognised for excellent culture and high employee satisfaction outperform the stock market over time — while companies that rank poorly have significantly underperformed.”

Tim Bethel said: “this is a tremendous result for JDX and reflects the hard work of everyone at the firm. We have ranked higher than many large banking and consulting organisations and the fact that the list recognises culture and employee satisfaction this is a result that I feel very proud of and can only say thank you to all of you for your hard work, dedication and commitment to making JDX the firm it is!”

Methodology: The ranking was created by analysing the tens of thousands of anonymous reviews left on by people in the UK for their employers.

Employers included those in consulting, financial analytics and research, financial transaction processing, insurance agencies and brokers, insurance carriers, investment banking and asset management, and lending. Those with fewer than 30 reviews were excluded.

The resulting employers were ranked by their overall company rating, highest first. Their ratings ranged from 4.5 to 3.4 on a five-point scale (1-5). The “average” rating across all 8m employer reviews on Glassdoor is 3.2.
